Privacy Policy
Version of October 30, 2026. It covers the Dailumo app (iPhone, iPad, Android) and the Dailumo website. The French version of this policy prevails.
1. Who we are
Dailumo is published by Pierre HERAUD — Entrepreneur individuel (sole proprietor), SIREN 883 108 623, 34160 Castries, France. Contact details are in the legal notice. For any question about your data: pierre@heraud.dev.
2. In short
- No account, no sign-up.
- Your progress, statistics and settings stay on your device. We have no access to them.
- Neither the app nor the website includes audience measurement or crash reporting tools.
- Ads are optional: they only appear if you choose to watch a video to get extra grids. These videos are provided by Google AdMob.
- To offer these videos, the app checks Google's consent service at each launch, unless you have Premium.
- On iPhone and iPad, the device's advertising identifier is only sent if you allow it in the iOS tracking prompt.
- Purchases are processed by the App Store or Google Play.
- The Dailumo website sets no cookies.
3. Data stored on your device
The app stores, in its own storage space on your device:
- your progress, statistics and game history;
- your settings and games in progress;
- a technical incident log (200 lines at most), used only to diagnose a problem.
The app sends this data to no one and we have no access to it. It is deleted when you uninstall the app.
Device backup. On Android, automatic backup of the app's data to your Google account is turned off. During a direct transfer from an old device to a new one, some devices may still copy this data from one to the other. On iPhone and iPad, the app's data is included in your device's backups, to iCloud or to a computer, depending on your settings: these belong to your Apple account or your computer.
4. Video ads (Google AdMob)
4.1. When data is sent to Google
- At each launch, if you don't have Premium, the app asks Google's consent service (User Messaging Platform) for your consent status. Google then receives in particular your IP address, which allows an approximate location to be estimated, and technical information about the app. The consent form only appears when you choose to watch a video, and only if it is required in your region.
- When you choose to watch a video, and only if your consent allows it, the app starts Google's ad kit (Google Mobile Ads) and requests a video.
- With Premium, neither the consent service nor the ad kit is used.
4.2. The data Google says it processes
According to Google, its ad kit collects and shares: IP address (approximate location), device identifiers, interactions with the app (launches, taps, videos watched), information about the ads shown, and diagnostics (crashes, performance). This data is used to serve ads, measure them, for analytics and for fraud prevention. Google states that it is encrypted in transit.
The identifiers involved are, on Android, the advertising ID and the "App Set" ID; on iPhone and iPad, identifiers that Google describes as specific to the app or the publisher; the device's advertising identifier (IDFA) is only sent if you allow it (§ 4.4).
4.3. No personalized ads
We flag every ad request to Google with the treatment intended for teenagers. According to Google, this treatment turns off personalized ads and remarketing and applies protections specific to teenagers. Ad content is also capped at the level matching the app's age rating.
4.4. On iPhone and iPad
The first time you choose to watch a video, after Google's consent message where it applies, the app asks for iOS tracking permission. Your answer changes nothing in the game or in the video's reward.
- If you decline, or if tracking is turned off on your device, the device's advertising identifier (IDFA) is not sent. We also ask Google for limited ads and turn off the publisher-specific identifier that Google offers.
- If you allow it, Google may receive the IDFA to measure the ads in the videos you choose to watch and to prevent fraud. Ads remain non-personalized (§ 4.3).
You can change your mind at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
4.5. On Android: the advertising ID
The advertising ID is provided by Google Play services. You can reset or delete it in your device settings.
4.6. Your choices
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time from the app: Settings → Privacy → Privacy and cookie settings (this entry appears when the regulations in your region require it). If you refuse, Google may show limited ads, or no video will be offered; no other feature depends on your consent.
To learn more about how Google uses data: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and https://policies.google.com/privacy.
5. Purchases (Premium)
The Premium purchase is processed by Apple or Google under their own terms. We receive neither your identity nor your payment information: the app only receives from your store the confirmation of the purchase, which it keeps on your device. You can restore your purchase with the same Apple or Google account.
6. Notifications
The daily reminder is optional. It is scheduled and shown by your device, after you agree; no data is sent. You can turn it off in the app or in your device settings.
7. Sharing
When you share a result, the app prepares an image and a text, keeps a temporary copy in its storage space (deleted after 24 hours) and opens your system's share sheet. You choose the recipient; we receive nothing.
8. The Dailumo website
The website sets no cookies and uses no trackers or audience measurement; its fonts are hosted on the website itself. Its web server keeps no log of visits: no IP address, no page viewed. Only critical web server errors are reported, without visitors' data. The server is rented from OVH SAS and the website is deployed on it with the Coolify tool. Its HTTPS proxy keeps no access log. The technical logs of the server's services, including those of the website and the proxy, are limited to three 10 MB files per service: the oldest are deleted as new ones are written. Their retention period is therefore not fixed; it depends on traffic.
9. If you email us
If you contact us by email, we use your address and message only to reply to you. The email opened from the app ("About") is prefilled with the app version and your device's operating system version. If you paste the text of the diagnostic screen into it, it also contains the device model, its language and the technical incident log (§ 3). You can remove this information before sending: nothing is sent without your action. We keep them while handling your request, then for one year at most after the last exchange, so that we can follow up on a related question.
10. Recipients and transfers outside the European Union
- Google receives the data described in § 4 and processes it under its own rules. This data may be processed outside the European Union; Google describes its transfer mechanisms here: https://policies.google.com/privacy/frameworks.
- Apple and Google process purchases and downloads as part of their stores.
- The publisher's email provider, o2switch, receives and stores the emails you send us (§ 9).
- The website host: OVH SAS, a company established in France, 2 rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix, France.
We sell no data.
11. Legal bases
- Consent: storing and reading information on your device in connection with video ads, collected by Google's consent platform where regulations require it (European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland).
- Performance of a contract: the Premium purchase, processed by Apple or Google.
- Legitimate interest: replying to your messages; keeping the website running and secure.
We do not process the game data stored on your device.
12. Retention periods
| Data | Purpose | Period |
|---|---|---|
| Game data on your device | Running the game | Until the app is uninstalled |
| Data processed by Google (§ 4) | Video ads, consent | Under Google's rules |
| Website visits | — | No log kept |
| Critical web server errors and server technical logs (§ 8) | Running the website | At most three 10 MB files per service, the oldest deleted as new ones are written: no fixed period, it depends on traffic |
| Emails | Replying to you | While handling the request, then one year at most after the last exchange |
13. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, object, restrict and port your data, and you can withdraw your consent at any time (§ 4.6). Write to us: pierre@heraud.dev. As the game data is stored only on your device, you remain in control of it: uninstalling the app deletes it. For data held by Google, use the tools described by Google (§ 4.6).
You can lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL): https://www.cnil.fr/fr/plaintes.
14. Minors
Dailumo is intended for teenagers and adults; it is not intended for children under 13. We do not ask for your age. Every ad request is treated as concerning a teenager (§ 4.3). In France, if you are under 15, your consent to the processing of your data must be given jointly with one of your parents (French Data Protection Act, article 45).
15. Changes
We will publish any change to this policy on this page, with its date.
